Kriti Verma Steals the Spotlight in ‘Mohabbat Ka Churan’: There is something instantly familiar about a good old-fashioned Bollywood dance number—the colourful costumes, expressive choreography, playful romance and larger-than-life screen presence. Kriti Verma’s latest music video, ‘Mohabbat Ka Churan’, taps directly into that nostalgia while giving the actress, dancer and DJ a glamorous new stage to showcase her personality.
The song, which is now out, has been attracting attention online for its vibrant presentation and Kriti’s energetic performance. Released on September 23, 2026, the track runs for around 2 minutes and 57 seconds and features vocals by Priya Mallick, with music and lyrics by Sanjeev Chaturvedi under the Tashan Bolly Studio label.
But the music is only one part of the conversation. It is Kriti’s screen presence, retro-inspired styling, and playful promotional approach that have helped ‘Mohabbat Ka Churan’ stand out.
Kriti Verma Brings Back the Colourful Bollywood Era
The biggest attraction of the music video is arguably its visual personality.
Instead of going for a heavily contemporary or minimalist presentation, ‘Mohabbat Ka Churan’ leans into the colourful, expressive flavour associated with classic Hindi film songs. Bright styling, energetic movements and exaggerated expressions give the video a distinctly nostalgic character.
Kriti appears completely comfortable in this environment.
Her performance combines glamour with dance, allowing her to use both her acting expressions and dancing ability. The result is a music-video appearance that feels deliberately larger than life rather than understated.
For viewers who enjoy the visual extravagance of old-school Bollywood songs, that throwback quality could be one of the track’s biggest attractions.
Kriti Verma’s Glamorous Avatar Gets Attention
Kriti’s styling is another major talking point.
The actress appears in a glamorous avatar designed to complement the song’s upbeat personality. Rather than making the fashion overpower the performance, the look works as part of the overall retro-Bollywood aesthetic.
Her expressions and confident body language remain at the centre of the video, while the styling adds the kind of visual sparkle expected from a contemporary dance number.
This balance is important because a music video can easily become more about the costume than the performer. Here, Kriti uses the styling as an extension of her performance.
The Dance Is Doing Much of the Heavy Lifting
Kriti Verma has a strong background in dance, and that experience is visible throughout the track.
The choreography gives her enough room to move between playful expressions and energetic dance sequences. Her confidence in front of the camera also helps the song maintain momentum.
Recent coverage has highlighted the energy of her performance, with some social-media users even comparing her screen presence and dance appeal with Nora Fatehi. Those comparisons are opinions from viewers rather than an official industry assessment, but they demonstrate the kind of conversation the song has started online.
The important point is that Kriti appears to be carving out her own identity as a performer who can combine acting, dance, and music-related entertainment.
‘Mohabbat Ka Churan’ Has a Playful Love-Song Concept
The title itself gives away the mischievous nature of the song.
Rather than presenting romance as something serious and sentimental, the track plays with the idea of love as a tempting “churan”—something sweet, addictive, and perhaps a little troublesome.
The lyrics revolve around a playful romantic setup in which attraction, teasing, and deception become part of the narrative.
That light-hearted approach matches Kriti’s performance style.
There is a sense of fun running through the video rather than an attempt to turn the song into an emotionally heavy romantic ballad.
Kriti’s Promotion Adds to the Buzz
Kriti has also brought her own personality into the promotion of the song.
While announcing the release, she told her followers that her latest song was out and expressed confidence that audiences would enjoy it. In another playful promotional moment, she joked about enjoying a romantic song despite claiming to have “zero love life.”
That self-aware humour gives the promotion a different feel.
Instead of presenting herself as a distant celebrity, Kriti’s social-media approach allows fans to see a more candid and playful side of her personality.
And in the current entertainment landscape, that connection can be just as important as the music itself.
Who Is Kriti Verma?
Kriti Verma has been associated with several different areas of entertainment rather than following a single career path.
She has appeared on reality television, worked as an actress and dancer, and has more recently expanded into DJing. Her earlier television exposure includes Bigg Boss 12 and MTV Roadies Xtreme, which helped introduce her personality to a wider audience.
Her career has continued to expand into films and music-related projects.
She has also performed internationally as a DJ, including a performance in Sri Lanka, while continuing her acting and dance work.
That multi-disciplinary background explains why a music video like ‘Mohabbat Ka Churan’ fits naturally into her career.
From Acting to Dancing and DJing
One of the more interesting aspects of Kriti’s journey is the way she has continued to add new skills to her entertainment portfolio.
Acting brought her screen recognition, while dance became an important part of her performance identity. In 2025, she also stepped into DJing, describing the move as another way of following her passion for music and performance.
Her recent work has continued to move between films, music and live entertainment.
In March 2026, she spoke about taking her DJ career internationally after performing in Sri Lanka, describing music as something that connects people across boundaries.
That makes ‘Mohabbat Ka Churan’ more than an isolated music-video appearance. It fits into a broader phase of her career where Kriti is experimenting with different forms of entertainment.
Why ‘Mohabbat Ka Churan’ Is Getting Attention
Several elements come together in the song:
- A colourful 90s-Bollywood-inspired visual style
- Kriti Verma’s glamorous screen presence
- Energetic choreography
- A playful romantic concept
- Strong emphasis on expressions and performance
- Kriti’s growing digital audience
- Nostalgia mixed with a contemporary music-video presentation
The combination gives the song an easily recognizable personality.

Kriti Verma’s Next Chapter Looks Interesting
Kriti’s career is increasingly difficult to place into just one category.
She is an actress, dancer, performer, and DJ, and each area seems to be feeding into the others. Her dance experience strengthens her music-video performances, her acting background helps with expressions and screen presence, while her DJ work gives her another connection to music and live audiences.
‘Mohabbat Ka Churan’ fits neatly into that evolving identity.
Whether viewers come for the nostalgic Bollywood styling, the dance performance or simply the curiosity around Kriti’s latest project, the song gives her another opportunity to remain visible in a crowded entertainment space.
For now, ‘Mohabbat Ka Churan’ is less about reinventing the music-video format and more about bringing back a familiar Bollywood flavour with a performer who clearly enjoys being on stage and in front of the camera.
And that old-school charm may be exactly what makes this release memorable.
