On 24th January of 2017, Award nominations for the 89th Annual Academy Award were announced. Along, it honored the best films of 2016 which were chosen by the film industry members. The Award function is going to be held on February 26th (Sunday) of this year. It seems ABC is going to broadcast the show at 8:30 pm (Eastern).
This year, the musical La La Land leads the nominations. The record for the most nominations for a single film held by Titanic (1997) and All About Eve (1950) has been matched by its 14 Oscar nominations.
